A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, I describe myself as a self taught artist remembering my interest and excitement in drawing since I was a young child, actually kindergarten. Whether I'm creating through art, gardening or cooking...it brings such joy to me. I consider these passions I have mastered.  It is very fulfilling to give myself in those ways. Understanding myself as creative, I am fascinated with the many colors and textures of plants, flowers and delicious foods. As seasons changed in my life to one of higher appreciation, gratitude and respect for life...so did the colors in my art. I became present and my works became brighter reflecting my inner expansion and spiritual evolution. Years ago I had the experience of working with carbon fiber in the development of Aerospace applications in which I used (IPA) Isopropyl Alcohol for impregnation of carbon fiber processing.  I was intrigued by the process and knew that one day I would implement IPA into my art somehow. During this season of searching for meaning and purpose I was divinely inspired by the beautiful, vibrant, transparent colors of alcohol inks, my favorite medium now along with pencil, acrylics and watercolor. I am also a portrait artist and create hand drawn portraits in pencil, watercolor and alcohol inks.  I work entirely from digital photographs which customers send to me via email.  Abstract commissions as well.
